Associate, Compliance & Risk Management 

 

Job Functions 
The successful candidate will report to the head of the Compliance & Risk Management Department.  He/She will mainly support day-to-day legal and compliance related tasks, and may also involve in risk management and internal control assignments.  The role is based in Hong Kong, and offers the right candidate broad exposures and unique opportunities in multiple middle-office functions in the asset management business.

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Review and advise on legal documents
  • Keep abreast of regulatory changes and advise on the latest legal and compliance related issues
  • Handle the client on-boarding and KYC/AML process, and monitor for suspicious transactions
  • Handle regular and ad-hoc reports prepared by the department
  • Support on-going compliance monitoring activities
  • Support drafting and updating of policies and procedures
  • Support internal control and risk assessments
  • Support CPT and compliance and risk management training

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in Law is a must 
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience 
  • Passionate, self-motivated and fast learner
  • Team player with strong communication skills 
  • Strong sense of accountability and ownership of tasks assigned 
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines 
  • Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua) 
  • Good knowledge and skills in Excel/Word/PowerPoint 
  • Experience in the asset management industry and familiarity with SFC regulations would be an advantage

Responsibilities:

  • Enable interns to acquire fundamental knowledge and useful financial management skills through training and different activities
  • Equip interns (enhance communication, interpersonal skills…etc..) for developing their career before graduation
  • Provide on-job training on different aspects, Day-to-day coaching by senior staffs and experts in their respected fields

Requirements

  • Year 3 or above university (will be graduated in 2017/18 is preferred), any major is welcome
  • Mature, self-discipline, self-motivated and hardworking
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with analytical mind
  • Fluent in English, Cantonese and Putonghua is preferable
  • Self-motivated, independent and proactive to learn
